Sesquicentennial Events: Past, Present and Future

On May 11, 2008, Minnesota reached its 150th anniversary as the 32nd state in the United States of America. Beginning in January 2008, the Sesquicentennial will be a yearlong, statewide commemoration and a catalyst, to learn from our past and connect all of us as Minnesotans in creating a thriving, innovative future.

SAVE THE DATE-January 6, 2008

Volunteers, legislators, state employees, sponsors, and partners are invited to an informal thank you reception from 3 to 5 p.m. Tuesday, January 6 in the Capitol Rotunda. The Sesquicentennial Commission sunsets on January 31, and commissioners and staff want to thank you for your contribution to our state’s Sesquicentennial commemoration.

Are you interested in planning an event? Please register with the Commission to make sure it gets on the Official Sesquicentennial Roster of Activities.
